Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry level Stocking Clerk to deliver remarkable customer service with product knowledge, efficiency, and a friendly attitude. You will be exposed to a range of retail tasks including stocking, merchandising, and customer interactions while supporting store operations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, the ability to handle overnight shifts, and a commitment to a clean and organized environment. 18+ and physically capable are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn basic technology and systems.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of groceries and products.
• Move product from pallets/carts to shelves efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard in back areas.
• Work with leadership to complete tasks on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks to keep store operations running smoothly.

This position will be responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude. What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• You’re comfortable learning and using basic technology

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
