IBERIA FASHION LLC is seeking a Fashion Technical Designer fluent in Mandarin and English to join our team in New York. You will manage tech packs, measurements, fittings, and collaborate with overseas factories to ensure production-ready garments.

The ideal candidate has solid experience in garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and strong communication skills in Mandarin. This role requires precise documentation and timely delivery.

• Fluency in Mandarin and English required.

• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, patternmaking, and grading.
• Experience creating and updating tech packs and specification sheets.
• Strong garment measuring and fitting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain detailed tech packs, including specifications, construction details, measurements, and garment callouts.
• Conduct garment fittings and provide clear fit comments and corrections.
• Measure samples and ensure garments meet approved specifications.
• Review and approve development, fit, pre-production, and production samples.
• Communicate directly with Chinese factories and vendors in Mandarin regarding fit corrections, construction details, measurements, and production requirements.
• Translate and clarify technical garment instructions between English and Mandarin as needed.
• Identify fit, construction, and quality issues and recommend solutions.
• Maintain accurate size specifications, grading, and measurement charts.
• Work closely with Design, Production, and Merchandising teams to ensure styles are production-ready.
• Track sample revisions and maintain organized technical records.
• Ensure consistency of fit, construction, and quality across styles and collections.
• Assist with fabric, trim, and construction evaluations as needed.
• Meet development and production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fashion Technical Designer who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English to join our team.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, measurements, and apparel production. This position requires direct communication with overseas factories, particularly Mandarin-speaking manufacturers, to ensure accurate technical execution from initial development through final production.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (both written and spoken) is required.
• Previous experience as a Technical Designer in the fashion/apparel industry.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, patternmaking, and grading.
• Experience creating and updating tech packs and specification sheets.
• Strong garment measuring and fitting skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience communicating directly with overseas factories, especially manufacturers in China.
• Ability to explain technical garment corrections clearly and accurately in Mandarin.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously.
• Knowledge of apparel production processes from development through bulk production.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual Salary: $60,000–$70,000, based on experience.
