Role Description The Technical Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for translating design concepts into accurate technical packages, ensuring garments meet fit, construction, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating tech packs, managing sample development, conducting fit sessions, and partnering closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to resolve technical and construction issues. The Technical Designer will also review patterns, measurements, and construction details, provide clear comments to vendors, and support continuous improvement in product consistency and efficiency across styles and categories.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apparel Technical Design experience, specifically with knitwear
• Strong proficiency in Technical Design, including creating and managing tech packs and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with Garment Construction and Fitting to ensure accurate fit, quality, and wearability.

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in womenswear or multi-category apparel technical design is highly beneficial.
