Job summary

Randa Apparel & Accessories invites students to a 10-week Design internship in our Design division, assisting the Design & Merchandising teams and gaining exposure to retail and wholesale fundamentals. You will work on-site in Chicago, IL, Monday through Friday, with a 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule and a 1:00 PM Friday finish.

The internship includes crafting designs for seasonal concepts, collaborating with merchants on assortments, producing sketches, tech packs, and coordinating with overseas

Qualifications

• Fashion Design/Merchandising/Marketing majors preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Must be on-site Monday through Friday.
• Commit to the full 10-week duration.
• Thrive in collaboration and cross-functional alignment.
• Self-motivated with proactive learning and problem-solving.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the design team in creating designs that fit seasonal concepts and brand visions.
• Collaborate with merchants to build assortments and respond to fashion trends.
• Provide technical details to overseas vendors for sample development.
• Produce sketches and may present proposals for seasonal concepts.
• Create and manage tech packs through PLM software and communicate with overseas vendors on samples.
