Job summary

Randa Apparel & Accessories (RAA) offers a 10-week Design Intern program in Chicago. You will assist the Design & Merchandising teams and gain exposure to the fundamentals of retail and wholesale, working on seasonal concepts and brand visions.

This is an on-site internship with an in-office schedule: Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM and Friday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM. Interns are paired with a mentor, tackle a group project, and present findings to leaders in the final week.

Qualifications

• Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing/Business Majors a plus.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
• Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday
• Able to commit to the full duration of the internship program (10 weeks)
• Thrives in collaborative settings and understands the value of cross-functional alignment
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning and problem-solving
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
• Looking to gain hands‑on experience

Responsibilities

• Provides technical details to overseas vendors for managing sample development
• Produces sketches and may make seasonal presentations of proposed designs

Tech Design Intern Duties and Responsibilities

Project

Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.
