Job summary

maurices is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) in Westminster, CO. The MIT will work with the store manager to build a customer-focused environment, drive sales, and develop talent through a structured training program designed to prepare for a Store Manager role in 3–6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; merchandising degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment; fashion industry experience a plus.
• Proven track record of achieving and communicating goals and directing store direction.
• Experience in hiring, promoting and motivating talent.
• Demonstrates professionalism, sound decision-making and leadership by example.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Willingness to relocate to a store location or group of stores.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in achieving sales goals and maintaining a customer-focused environment.
• Lead by example and deliver fashion knowledge to customers through staff development.
• Drive sales by analyzing store performance and adjusting plans.
• Oversee payroll hours to support business needs and profitability.
• Coordinate scheduling based on traffic and store activity to maximize sales.
• Recruit, develop and retain talent through company programs and networks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards and manage visual execution.
