Leidos is seeking a Farsi Language Instructor to support a national security mission. The role emphasizes language, culture, and pedagogy with a focus on delivering structured instruction and assessments.

You will teach daily 3-5 hours across ILR levels 0-3, develop materials, and conduct proficiency tests while staying current on events in countries where the language is spoken. A strong background in adult education and testing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, foreign language, or linguistics with 8-12 years' experience.
• Master's degree with 2-10 years' experience; substitution possible.
• Minimum of 10 years of adult teaching experience.
• Must score 90%+ on English test; senior level.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 3-5 hours of daily instruction in ILR levels 0-3.
• Complete 3-4 language proficiency assessments weekly.
• Instruct students in speaking a foreign language and teaching culture through communication.
• Develop class materials and training aids for customized student needs.
• Work under direction of experienced senior instructors.
• Stay familiar with current events in countries where the languages are spoken.
• Receive sponsor training to become certified.
