Job summary

H2aJobs is seeking a multi-skilled farm worker in Covington, Tennessee to manually maintain and repair irrigation systems, operate farm machinery, and prepare equipment for the growing season.

Responsibilities include winterizing watering systems, moving irrigation piping, and delivering crops with a semi-truck. Housing and meals are provided, plus weekly transport to stores.

Qualifications

• Must speak English.
• One month of recent verifiable farming/driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must obtain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record after hire.

Job description

Manually maintain and repair irrigation systems including tires, gears, nozzles power units on our farm in preparation for growing season using hand tools; winterize watering systems to prevent damage from winter weather; drive farm vehicle to move watering pipe; Drive semi-truck with hopper bottom trailer and deliver crops to ports and terminals; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 1 months

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
