Job summary

Tilth Alliance in Seattle is seeking a Project Coordinator for Farm to Preschool and Youth & Families programs. The role combines 60% Farm to Preschool coordination and 40% general Youth & Families activities, with summer adjustments.

You will lead nutrition education, adapt curricula with partners, maintain records, report to City of Seattle HSD, and support community outreach. A related degree and experience with preschool and outdoor education are preferred, along with strong organizational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Food Systems, Horticulture, Education, Environmental Science, Conservation or related field
• Two years experience preferred leading educational programming for preschool students (2–5 years)
• Two years experience preferred leading outdoor/garden education for K-5; some experience with grades 6–12

Responsibilities

• Lead Farm to Preschool nutrition education activities (60%), such as mobile garden classes and family events
• Co-design lessons and adapt curriculum with F2P partners
• Develop and sustain relationships with F2P partner organizations and preschool sites
• Document and track programming information; provide data for monthly reporting
• Provide farm-to-table education that increases access to local produce
• Attend meetings with City of Seattle HSD and partners
• Guide Youth & Families programming (40%), including hands-on outdoor science and cooking activities
• Teach and lead on- and off-site programming (summer camps, afterschool, etc.)
• Implement Tilth Alliance Youth and Families program curriculum
• Assist with garden maintenance and operations as needed
• Demonstrate customer service and professionalism
• Support staff events and committees
