Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Farm Technician to join a leading agricultural organization in Memphis, TN. This temporary contract offers $20.00 per hour, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday with overtime as needed.

You will process seeds, rouging fields, assist with hand harvests, collect and prepare samples, and help maintain farm equipment. A high school diploma or GED is required; lifting up to 40 lbs and a hands-on, detail-oriented attitude are essential.

Qualifications

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is a plus.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour (CONTRACT for 4-6 weeks)

Shift: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday and OT as needed

What’s a typical day as Farm Technician? You’ll be:

  • Processing seed, rouging fields, and assisting with hand harvest of samples.
  • Collecting, scanning, sorting, and bagging nursery and yield trial samples.
  • Cleaning and maintaining farm equipment including cotton picker/combine.
  • Lifting up to approximately 40 lbs as needed.
  • Cleaning and treating seed, and supporting transgenic leaf sampling activities.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s degree or higher is a plus.
  • Are physically able to perform manual labor tasks and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Can commit to a full-time schedule with potential for occasional overtime.
  • Are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to work in a hands-on farm environment.
