Job summary

EverGRO in Orange, VA,, is hiring a Farm Store Associate (Warehouse) to deliver friendly, efficient customer service both in-store and in the warehouse. The role involves checkout processing, merchandise stocking, event set-ups and cross-training for warehouse tasks, with a focus on safety and customer care.

This part-time position offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for propane-tank handling training, and participation in a cooperative environment rooted in community values.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirement or years of experience.
• Prefer six (6) months in a retail environment providing customer service & operating POS equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willingness & ability to work during operating hours; Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm and Saturdays, 8am-3pm.
• Forklift Certification or willingness & ability to obtain the certification through on-the-job training.
• Able & willing to learn to be trained to fill propane tanks.
• A passion and enthusiasm to work with our cooperative customers to help improve and overcome any challenges related to their needs.
• The ability to focus and work safely when operating equipment and helping customers.
• A knack for relationship building and problem-solving.
• A desire to learn, grow and work as a cross-functional team member with other divisions within EverGRO.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with friendly & efficient service.
• Process check-out, exchange and return transactions using POS equipment.
• Help maintain a professional and clean store showroom appearance.
• Promote and set up for store events and displays.
• Cross-train to support warehouse responsibilities, loading/unloading deliveries.
• Collaborate with team members on various duties.
• Fill propane cylinders.
• Stock and replenish merchandise and assist with inventory.
