Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Agronomy or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Develop plot layouts for research studies, including study name, purpose, seed products and quantities, equipment needs, and a location map.
• Collaborate with the PFR Equipment Maintenance Coordinator to obtain farm and operating equipment.
• Maintain equipment through regular service and keep organized maintenance records.
• Plan and apply tillage, planting, spraying, mowing, cultivating, fertilizer applications, and data collection.
• Collect accurate records of activities, products used, and environmental conditions for progress tracking.
• Keep plots in good visual condition during the growing season via mowing, weeding, and tilling.
• Coordinate sign procurement and placement on plots following numbering and lettering guidelines.
• Prepare the PFR research facility daily and organize tours as needed by the Location Lead.
• Supervise part-time employees and interns reporting to the PFR Technician.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Location Lead or Operations Manager.
