Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in California to support the Store Manager in delivering financial results and Legendary Customer Experience. The role leads sales, service, routines, front-end execution, safety, and operations, with potential transition into Store Operations Manager in designated stores.

You will ensure strong merchandise presentation, staff development, and customer engagement while maintaining store performance in a fast-paced rural lifestyle

Qualifications

• Previous retail leadership experience is required.
• Knowledge of farming, ranching, pets/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Regardless of education level, you must be able to read, write, and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Lead store operations, driving sales and profit, and prioritizing work.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Experience and coach Team Members.
• Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash handling.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and operational standards.
• Support hiring, training, and policy enforcement.
