Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations.
• Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts to business figures.
• Ability to read and interpret general business materials and regulations.
• Ability to prepare reports and manuals with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Understanding of agricultural quality standards and food safety regulations.
• Strong presentation, coaching, and training skills.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to influence and motivate teams through education.

Responsibilities

• Develops and fosters a positive relationship with growers to motivate the grower to attain maximum results. Maintains regular availability for and contact with growers.
• Responsible for overall health and performance of contract turkeys, including monitoring health, performance, feed, and flock records; implements sanitation and disease prevention programs.
• Verifies and records data, such as weekly mortalities and feed deliveries; completes final flock files.
• Identifies and reports findings to farmers with recommendations for improvements.
• Provides coaching and training on best management practices and maintains high standards.
• Implements initiatives to improve overall quality and efficiency within facilities.
• Interprets observations and advises management on potential policy or procedure improvements.
