Job summary

Prestage Farms is seeking a Turkey Service Representative in the United States to inspect farms for compliance with contract standards and advise growers on development programs to improve poultry production.

You will tour facilities, assess disease indicators, recommend changes, inform growers of new procedures and regulations, and ensure adherence to safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in poultry science or related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Capability to prepare routine reports and present information clearly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with growers and staff.
• Solid math skills for rate, ratio and percentage calculations.
• Experience interpreting data to support production decisions.

Responsibilities

• Tour farms to inspect facilities and equipment for adequacy and sanitation.
• Examine turkeys for disease and growth indicators to assess medication effectiveness.
• Recommend facility, equipment and medication changes to improve production.
• Inform growers about new procedures, regulations, and company standards.
• Recommend lab testing or collect samples for plant analysis.
• Document findings and growers' responses to keep leadership informed.
• Follow all company policies and safety rules.
