Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking personnel for our Tenaha Live Office location to support meat processing operations. The role involves following USDA-aligned procedures, operating equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to stand for long periods in cool environments. Forklift operation and a valid driver’s license are required, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand simple instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense to problems.
• Ability to work in cool temperatures (~40°F).
• Stand and use hands for 8–11 hours daily.
• Multitask and work quickly.
• Team player with close coworker proximity.
• Good communication and hand-eye coordination.
• Food or production experience preferred.
• Forklift operation capability and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Process product using tools, manual labor, and equipment per USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
• Follow operating procedures and meet quality/quantity expectations.
• Observe equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist colleagues with learned skills and knowledge.
• Follow safety and animal welfare guidelines.
• Report incidents and safety risks to supervisors.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem solving.
• Assist in lab sample collection of blood.
• Perform other duties as directed.
