Job summary

This role requires long hours standing, ability to work in cool temps, forklift operation, and strong teamwork. The right candidate will maintain clean work areas, participate in continuous improvement, and comply with all food safety policies.

Qualifications

• Educational background: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to comprehend simple instructions and follow procedures.
• Must be able to stand 8-11 hours and work in cool temperatures.
• Forklift operation and driving a 1-ton truck may be required.
• Strong teamwork and good communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Processes product using tools, manual labor, and equipment per USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
• Operate according to procedures and meet quality/quantity expectations.
• Observe equipment, report malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist others with skills and knowledge gained.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and food safety policies.
• Recognize incidents and safety risks and act promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem solving.
• Follow animal welfare guidelines and lab sample collection of blood as needed.
• Other duties as directed.
