About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Farm Manager with a specialization in Crop Production to lead operations in Welkom, Free State . This role involves the comprehensive management of all crop-related activities, from soil preparation and planting to harvesting and post-harvest handling. You will be responsible for optimizing crop yields, ensuring quality standards, managing resources efficiently, and leading a team of farm workers. The position requires a deep understanding of agronomy, excellent leadership capabilities, and a hands‑on approach to managing large-scale agricultural endeavors in the Free State province.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute seasonal planting, cultivation, and harvesting schedules for various crops.
• Manage irrigation systems, fertilization programs, and pest/disease control strategies.
• Supervise and direct farm labourers, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor crop growth and health, making timely adjustments to management practices.
