Job summary

IOWA SELECT FARMS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service our Thayer and Derby IA production sites. Responsibilities include reviewing work tickets, scheduling site visits, and performing maintenance on swine facilities and equipment.

The role requires adherence to bio-security and animal wellbeing policies, and involves coordinating with site managers and production supervisors to keep facilities running optimally.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, with fluency in both written and verbal communication.
• High-level problem-solving skills.
• Maintenance experience preferred, not required.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance work tickets, schedule site visits and coordinate with site managers.
• Perform maintenance and repairs of swine facilities and equipment.
• Adhere to ISF bio-security and animal wellbeing policies at all times.
• Utilize the ISF Tools work ticket system to track repairs, materials and labor hours.
• Be available for on-call weekend emergency maintenance and work in various facility environments.
