Job summary

Country View Family Farms is seeking a Farm Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting across farm systems. This full-time role supports reliable operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, feed, water, ventilation, heating, and environmental control systems on the farm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; maintenance experience preferred.
• Electrical and welding experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and farm environments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues across farm systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair tractors, mowers, and related tools.
• Adhere to safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and biosecurity protocols.
• Complete seasonal and outdoor tasks (snow plowing, mowing, grounds maintenance).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; assist with facility cleaning as needed.
• Track, organize, and maintain parts, tools, and inventory; communicate needs to farm leadership.
• Communicate maintenance needs and completed work clearly with farm leadership.
