Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to support customers in our stores. You’ll use product knowledge to help shoppers select merchandise and suggest add-ons, while maintaining a neat, welcoming sales floor.

You’ll greet customers, locate items, answer questions, and process transactions. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to stand for long periods in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Prefer additional college coursework or Associate's Degree in agriculture, plant science, animal science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Proactively greet customers in a welcoming and professional manner.
• Discuss merchandise needs with customers and help locate items in the store.
• Recommend additional products or services to meet project needs.
• Maintain neat, inviting merchandising and store appearance.
• Provide assistance with loading, cashiering and general customer support as needed.
• Work safely and follow store policies and PPE guidelines.
