Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Farm Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain farm equipment within our Service Department in North Carolina. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction while supporting reliable equipment operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school, vocational training, or related mechanical coursework required.
• Prior experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining farm equipment, heavy equipment, diesel equipment, or related machinery required.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems preferred.
• OEM certifications or equipment manufacturer training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mechanical repairs and maintenance assigned by the Service Manager in a professional and timely manner.
• Diagnose equipment issues accurately and assist in identifying necessary repairs and preventative maintenance recommendations for customers.
• Maintain service tools, equipment, and assigned shop bay in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment in the shop and service areas.
• Document all diagnostics, repairs, and parts used thoroughly and accurately on repair orders.
• Use technical resources, schematics, and diagnostic tools to complete repairs according to manufacturer and company standards.
