Job summary

H&R Agri-Power is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair farm equipment. You will work on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drive trains, performing mid- to advanced-level repairs to ensure equipment returns to service and customers are satisfied.

The role requires 3+ years as a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Tech, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. The position pays hourly and offers quarterly incentives based on performance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Diesel/Heavy Equipment Tech experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Agriculture experience preferred but not required.
  • Heavy Equipment or Diesel Tech degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience navigating a computer and using manuals.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and identify mechanical defects on farm equipment.
  • Retrieve manuals, schematics, and procedures to assess repairs.
  • Analyze manuals, schematics, drawings, procedures, and regulations.
  • Repair/replace components of diesel engines, hydraulics, AC, electrical, suspension, drive trains, and more.
  • Perform mid-level/advanced repairs to return equipment to operation.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and fluid checks.
  • Communicate with customers about prices, repairs, and timeframes.
  • Operate power tools, welders, forklifts, and heavy machinery safely.
  • Receive tickets and complete work with minimal supervision.
  • Document repairs and parts used; coordinate parts with Service Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to standards.
  • Complete training by deadlines and stay updated on equipment
  • Carry out other duties as assigned; promote teamwork and excellence.
