Job summary

City Farm SLO is seeking a Farm Education Manager to lead program quality, curriculum development, and coordination with the education team. The role supports evaluation systems, administrative tasks, and relationship building to expand community education offerings.

This part-time position (25-30 hours/week) offers opportunities for growth while enhancing the local food system through engaging farm-based education and partnerships. A background check and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years managing educational, youth or community programs.
  • Experience supervising staff, interns, or volunteers.
  • Experience developing or adapting curricula, lesson plans, or training materials.
  • Alignment with City Farm SLO’s mission and values.
  • Ability to pass a background check and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Education Team to evaluate and update curricula annually.
  • Create and implement staff training materials.
  • Coordinate data collection and reporting for education grants and contracts.
  • Maintain program metrics, participant records, and outcome tracking.
  • Prepare reports and supporting documentation for grants and funders.
