Job summary

Red Gate Farm is seeking hard-working, kind, and enthusiastic individuals to help lead overnight school programs, summer programs, and assist in running the farm. Farm Educators build meaningful relationships with youth, learn to take care of a variety of farm animals and vegetable gardens, and gain valuable leadership skills in the process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in educational settings.
• Ability to supervise and mentor children and young people.
• Ability to work in outdoor settings and in a farm environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead overnight school programs and summer programs.
• Assist in running the farm and maintaining animals and gardens.
• Develop programs and support youth through hands-on learning.

Red Gate Farm is seeking hard-working, kind, and enthusiastic individuals to help lead overnight school programs, summer programs, and assist in running the farm. Farm Educators build meaningful relationships with youth, learn to take care of a variety of farm animals and vegetable gardens, and gain valuable leadership skills in the process. Red Gate Farm's school and summer programs are purposefully small, with typically a 1:6 educator-to-student ratio. The Farm Educator helps to develop programs and assists with farm maintenance and operation as needed. This position is designed with many opportunities to learn and grow as an educator in a unique outdoor setting.
