Job summary

Southern States Cooperative seeks a delivery associate to operate box trucks and other vehicles, load and unload merchandise, and ensure accurate deliveries to farms, production sites, and residences. You will inspect goods, verify orders, and help customers with loading and unloading at delivery points.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, forklift certification (or ability to obtain), and experience in warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Requires six months of work experience operating delivery vehicles or warehouse functions with customer service skills and a valid driver's license.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain within a given period; propane certification may be required or obtained.

Responsibilities

• Operate SSC delivery vehicles (box trucks, pickups, flatbeds) to deliver merchandise.
• Load/unload merchandise using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual methods.
• Inspect items for damage and verify receipts and inventory.
• Maintain on-time delivery schedules and review shipping documents with customers.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer support during deliveries and at showrooms.
