Job summary

Southern States Cooperative is hiring a delivery driver/warehouse associate. You will operate box trucks, pick-up trucks, flat beds and other vehicles to move merchandise between SSC facilities and customer farms, production sites, and residences.

You will load and unload items, use forklifts and pallet jacks, and help with inventory and merchandising tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining on-time deliveries, reviewing shipping documents with customers, performing minor vehicle maintenance,

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months of delivery/warehouse experience with customer service and valid driver’s license.
• Requires Forklift Certification or ability to obtain within a period.
• Propane Certification or ability to obtain within a period.

Responsibilities

• Operate SSC delivery vehicles to transport merchandise.
• Load/unload boxes using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Deliver merchandise to customer farms, production sites, and residences.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and report issues.
• Provide courteous customer service and verify invoices.
• Perform showroom replenishment and merchandising as needed.
• Follow safety, DOT regulations, and SSC policies.
