Job summary

WildSide farm in western Orange County is seeking help for the Fall season to join our small team in all aspects of farm work. This is a full-time/part-time position focused on regenerative growing of vegetables, herbs, and fruits.

Work is outdoors in all weather, requiring physical stamina. Responsibilities include field production, irrigation management, harvesting and post-harvest handling, and basic pruning and trellising.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic essential.
• Able to bend, kneel, and squat for long periods and walk on uneven terrain.
• Regularly lift 35–50 lb harvest bins or equipment.
• Reliable in varied weather and able to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Field production and greenhouse duties: seeding, bed prep, transplanting, cultivating, and weeding.
• Maintain irrigation: install, monitor, and move drip/overhead systems; scout pests and manage diseases organically.
• Harvest, wash, bundle, pack, and store produce efficiently.
• Pruning and trellising: assist with crop maintenance.

Job Description

Looking for someone to join our small team this Fall season full-time/part-time, to help with all aspects of our farm work.

Role Overview

• Core Focus: Cultivating diverse vegetables, herbs, and fruits utilizing regenerative methods.
• Work Environment: Mostly outdoors in all weather conditions, requiring significant physical stamina.

Tasks Include

• Field Production & greenhouse work: Handle seeding, bed preparation, transplanting, cultivating and hand-weeding
• Crop Care & Irrigation: Set up, monitor, and move drip or overhead irrigation systems; scout for pests and manage diseases organically.
• Harvest & Post-Harvest: Harvest crops at peak freshness, wash, bundle, pack, and store produce efficiently.
• Pruning and trellising: Assist with maintenance and care of all crops.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude & strong work ethic: ability to work efficiently because tasks are ongoing
• Stamina: Ability to bend, kneel, and squat for long periods, and walk over uneven terrain.
• Lifting: Regularly lift and carry 35 lb to 50 lb harvest bins or equipment.
• Adaptability: Work reliably in varied weather (heat, rain, cold) and take direction well within a small team.

Compensation

• $16-$18/hour depending on experience. We work 8-hour days, which includes a 1/2 hour paid lunch break.
