Job summary

New Jersey Transit Corporation seeks an experienced IT professional to design, develop, test, and support 24/7 POS and fare collection systems across NJ TRANSIT and partner agencies. You will work with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical and accounting issues and ensure accurate data flows into revenue systems.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent, and five (5) or more years of technical business experience operating complex on-line software applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, testing, implementation, and support of 24/7 POS and Fare Collection Systems.
• Provide support to TVM, TOM, OBV, PV network for NJ TRANSIT and partner agencies.
• Collaborate with vendor and Revenue Accounting staff to solve technical and accounting issues.
• Correct polling issues to ensure data flows into Xms, RACS & RRASS for month-end closing.
• Manage development, testing and implementation of new functional specifications with NJ Transit and vendors.
• Maintain fare tariffs databases and coordinate fare changes across systems with external carriers.
• Update user files and GUI files; manage user access and PCI Compliance.
• Participate in fare collection technology committees to stay proficient.
• Configure database for new CTA staff locations and provide training.
