Job summary

The Charlotte Hornets are seeking a friendly Fan Shop Associate to deliver an outstanding guest experience. You will staff the shop, answer questions, process sales, and keep the floor clean and well organized.

You will assist with stock, visual displays, and daily banking tasks while supporting events at Spectrum Center and supervising part-time staff as needed. You will contribute to inventory management, pricing accuracy, and visual merchandising in a fast-paced arena setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• 1–2 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Experience with POS software such as Retail Pro.
• Experience in arena or professional/collegiate sports atmosphere.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the Hornets Fan Shop as scheduled.
• Maintain a clean and well organized sales floor.
• Replenish Fan Shop with new stock daily.
• Answer product questions and suggest information about other products.
• Work with Retail Warehouse Manager to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained at the Fan Shop.
• Maintain guest experience standards as set by Hornets Sports & Entertainment.
• Support retail operations during concerts and non-basketball events at the Spectrum Center as needed.
• Create and maintain highly visual retail displays.
• Perform daily bank deposit and credit card reconciliation functions.
• Supervise part-time associates at the Hornets Fan Shop.
• Conduct annual inventory.
• Train employees on the POS system and RetailPro.
• Maintain employee dress code and conduct standards.
• Ensure company assets are maintained and secured.
• Other duties as assigned.
