Job summary

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH is seeking a part-time Fan Engagement Specialist to greet guests, assist with entry, ticket scanning, and guide visitors through exhibits.

You'll engage with guests, answer questions, share stories, and help with events while representing the Rock Hall brand on the museum floor; evening and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with energy, enthusiasm, and a welcoming attitude.
• Support various onstage posts throughout the museum, including entry, ticket scanning, and exhibit halls.
• Actively engage with guests during their visit – answer questions, share stories, and initiate conversation.
• Address guest concerns, questions, or complaints promptly and professionally, and escalate to supervisor as needed.
• Provide visitors with wayfinding assistance and recommendations throughout the museum.
• Help with crowd flow and guest experience during high-volume events, concerts, and private programs.
• Maintain awareness of daily programming, live music, exhibits and special events.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures as assigned.
• Represent the Rock Hall brand as a visible ambassador on the museum floor.
• Report operational, cleanliness, or safety issues promptly.

Fan Engagement Specialists work and have fun in a world-class museum featuring live music, public programming, and events! No prior museum experience needed, just your love of music and people. The Fan Engagement Specialists are responsible for creating an engaging experience for all Rock Hall guests while sharing their love of rock and roll to make sure we provide the best quality service possible.

We are currently seeking new team members that want to work evening and weekend shifts.

• Actively engage with guests during their visit – answer questions, share stories, and initiate conversation

• Provide visitors with wayfinding assistance and recommendations throughout the museum
• Help with crowd flow and guest experience during high-volume events, concerts, public programs, and private events
• Maintain awareness of daily programming, live music, exhibits and special events

• Represent the Rock Hall brand as a visible ambassador on the museum floor

• Duties include but may not be limited to the above

Preferred experience in the following areas helpful

• Knowledge and appreciation of Rock and Roll history
• Desire to engage with our visitors
• Knowledge of the downtown Cleveland area and activities
• Bilingual capabilities a bonus

Requirements

• Availability to work predominantly evenings and weekends; must be able to work at least one weekend shift each weekend
• Appreciation of Rock & Roll and/or music history
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to successfully pass a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame background investigation and drug screen

Working Conditions

• Environmental Parameters: Ability to work in a window-less office. Ability to work in an environment with loud noise, such as house music.
• Physical Demands:
  • Strength: Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 20 lbs. (approximately)

Ability to perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, and characteristics. Ability to perform tasks concurrently. Work involves walking and standing most of the time but will also involve sitting for periods of time.

  • Motor Coordination: Ability to make necessary movements in selecting, picking and depositing items.
  • Finger Dexterity: Ability to pick, pinch or otherwise work with fingers to operate above equipment. Ability to pick up a variety of items and place them on shelves; to move knobs, buttons or switches.
