Job summary

Nurturing Growth and Compassionate care Ltd in Kent is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to provide practical, emotional, and advocacy support to children, young people, and families to improve wellbeing and strengthen relationships.

You will assess needs, develop tailored support plans, and collaborate with schools, healthcare professionals, social workers, and other agencies to ensure families receive appropriate support while upholding safeguarding and GDPR requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with children, young people, parents, and carers.
  • Conduct assessments to identify family strengths, needs, and areas requiring support.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to help families achieve their goals.
  • Provide practical guidance on parenting, child development, behaviour management, and family relationships.
  • Support families in accessing education, health, housing, financial, and community services.
  • Advocate on behalf of families and help them navigate complex systems and services.
  • Monitor progress, review outcomes, and adapt support plans as required.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records in line with organisational policies and GDPR requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, healthcare professionals, social workers, and other agencies.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety policies at all times.
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and anti-discriminatory practice.
