Job summary

Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA) is seeking a Case Assistant to support the case planning unit by ensuring compliance with mandates and policies. The role emphasizes managing and maintaining visitation schedules for family and sibling visits at the agency and in the community.

The position requires participation in trainings such as PTC, KEEP, Motivational Interviewing, Safety & Risk, and agency trainings, plus home and court visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and families in a professional setting.
• Ability to work independently and also in a team setting.
• Typing skills and computer literacy.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree – preferably BSW.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise family and sibling visitation.
• Complete Progress Notes for all work performed on all cases.
• Utilize visiting plan developed by Case Planner and provide feedback.
• Update Case Planner on visitation for Permanency Hearing Reports and Court Updates.
• Use visiting tool to move visitation from supervised to unsupervised.
• Complete ABC and HH referrals for the CSNYC department.
