Job summary

Ariel Clinical Services is seeking a Family Time Coach in Grand Junction, CO. This part-time role supports supervised visits between caregivers and children, typically 20-29 hours per week, with varied shifts including evenings and some Saturdays.

The hiring range is $17.00–$18.53 per hour, dependent on education and experience. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience with children and families; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience working with children and families; minimum 21 years old.
• Two or more years demonstrated success in working with children and families.
• Bilingual/Bi-literate, preferably in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly visits for parents and their children and facilitate the visits. Visits may be in the office or in the community.
• Effectively and appropriately communicate ideas, thoughts and feelings. Ability to listen. Take responsibility for your actions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, coworkers and supervisors, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Understand and demonstrate Ariel and program mission, vision and values.
• Intervene during the visit to provide appropriate coaching and/or feedback of parenting skills. Terminate visit, if necessary.
• Observe and document parent/child interactions by producing Parenting Time Reports in a timely manner following each visit within the established format and guidelines.
• Communicate parent progress and/or pertinent information to the designated treatment team. Testify in court, as required.
• As assigned by program manager, attend reviews and necessary meetings at the Department of Human Services. Inform program manager if unable to attend any assigned meetings.
• Maintain a safe environment for children and families during visitations.
• Maintain emotional stability and resilience, including the ability to remain calm during crises, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional boundaries.
