Location: Monroe, LA

Job Type: Full-time Contract (1099)

Pay Rate: $45-70 per direct client contact hour

Job Purpose Statement: The Center for Children & Families is seeking a Family Therapist to provide in-home counseling services to children and families. The therapist will engage families through a variety of programs, including Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), empowering them to build stable, healthy environments.

This position will report to the Monroe, Louisiana office and will provide clients with in-home/community-based services across the Northeast Louisiana region.

Job Requirements

What You Have:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology*
  • Licensure: Licensed or provisionally licensed as a PLPC, LPC, PLMFT, or LMFT. Candidates with a master’s in social work must possess an LCSW**.
  • Open to new graduates, mid-career therapists, or retired individuals seeking to make an impact.
  • Those with a master’s degree in psychology do not require further licensure.
  • Unable to hire individuals with an LMSW license due to the independent contractor nature of these positions.

Duties & Responsibilities
Client Care and Empowerment
  • Provide therapy services primarily in the home environment.
  • Conduct sessions primarily in person; telehealth as needed.
  • Participate in applicable online training for evidence-based programs.
  • Evaluate client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Support families in building stable environments.
Case and Data Management
  • Complete necessary paperwork for Medicaid plans and maintain accurate client records.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance to protect client privacy.
Collaboration and Supervision
  • Engage in supervisory sessions and seek guidance as needed.
  • Attend workshops and continuing education opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and provide consultation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Therapeutic Services Supervisor.
Pay and Compensation Information
  • Maintain a minimum of 16 direct client contact hours per week.
  • Pay rate: $45-70 per direct client contact hour.
  • Other compensation: Signing bonus, two-week onboarding stipend, and annual retention bonus (if applicable).
