Job summary

The Village for Families & Children in Hartford, CT is seeking a Family Support Worker to engage families weekly, promote parenting skills, and help families access community resources. You will use established curriculum to support child development and family engagement in the Early Childhood Learning Center.

Responsibilities include developing service plans, coordinating with service providers, and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in early childhood, childhood development, human services or related field preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop strength-based service plans addressing challenges.
• Maintain collaboration with primary care providers and community services.
• Provide home visits to families and model parent-child interactions.
• Assist families in accessing community resources and services.
