Baltimore County is seeking a lawyer to join the Office of Law as a Non-Merit attorney. Under general supervision, you will assist with litigation, focusing on child welfare cases, and handle filings, research, and testimony in state and federal courts.
Required is a law degree from an ABA-accredited school with 7–9 years of post‑law‑school experience and Maryland bar admission. The role emphasizes independent work, timely deadlines, and professional conduct.
Regular Schedule: 35 hours per week
A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Office of Law.
Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.
