Job summary

Peace Living LLC in Antelope Valley seeks a compassionate Coordinated Family Support (CFS) Professional to assist adults with developmental disabilities in building independence and improving quality of life. The role involves helping with daily living, medical follow-through, and navigating community resources.

You will coordinate services, document progress, and advocate for consumers across various programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree in human services.
• At least 1 year of experience in the developmental disabilities service delivery system.
• Knowledge of the Regional Center system; experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing daily living, self-advocacy, and community skills.
• Assist with medical follow-through and accounting of funds, filing receipts.
• Help individuals access resources like SSI, Medi-Cal, CalFresh, IHSS, and public transportation.
• Coordinate appointments, services and future planning based on individual needs and goals.
• Maintain accurate service notes and progress documentation.
• Perform other duties to advocate for the consumer served.

Join Our Team as a Family Support (CFS) Professional in Antelope Valley!

Peace Living LLC is seeking compassionate and dedicated Coordinated Family Support (CFS) Professional in the Antelope Valley area to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence and improving their quality of life.

What You'll Do:

• Support individuals in developing daily living, self-advocacy, and community skills.
• Provide support for medical follow-through as designated by physicians. Also responsible for assisting the consumer with accounting of funds and filing receipts.
• Help individuals and families access resources such as SSI, Medi-Cal, CalFresh, IHSS, and public transportation.
• Coordinate appointments, services, and future planning based on individual needs and goals.
• Maintain accurate service notes and progress documentation.
• Other duties as assigned to advocate for the consumer served

Qualifications:

• An high-school or associate-level degree in the human services field and at least 1 year of experience in the developmental disabilities service delivery system.
• Knowledge of the Regional Center system and experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with individuals and families,
• Bilingual skills (Spanish or Tagalog) are a plus.

Position Details:

• Pay: $19-$24 per hour
• Hours: Part-time, 20+ hours per week, with opportunities for full-time hours (35-40 hours per week).
• Schedule: Flexible scheduling, primarily Monday-Friday, with services provided between 8 AM and 8 PM; occasional weekends as needed.
• Service Areas: Antelope Valley.
