Job summary

Children & Families of Iowa is seeking a Family Support Worker to help children and families navigate challenging circumstances toward stability and healing. You will provide transportation, supervise family interactions, and coordinate with a dedicated team to deliver crisis intervention and supportive services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in human services with children and/or dependent adults.
• Preferred: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• Ability to work independently, respond to emergencies, and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable internet access or ability to work from an office location. Driver’s license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for families and children as needed.
• Facilitate and supervise family interactions.
• Provide crisis intervention and support services.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings between families and FCS team members.
• Complete accurate and timely case documentation.
• Collaborate with a team dedicated to supporting and strengthening families.
