Job summary

Blueprints is seeking a Family Support Coach in Washington, PA, covering Donora, Charleroi, Plaza, and Canonsburg. This role focuses on enrolling families in Early Learning programs and coordinating with ERSEA and Home Base teams to ensure comprehensive, family-centered services.

The candidate will implement the Whole Family Approach, build strong relationships with participants, and engage families to meet program goals while ensuring compliance and accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with participants facing socioeconomic issues.
• Minimum 1 year of case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll eligible children and families for Early Learning programs to meet full enrollment and funding requirements.
• Collaborate with ERSEA and Home Base teams to ensure family services processes align.
• Implement the Whole Family Approach and Coaching across agency programs to achieve outcomes.
• Establish and implement a family partnership agreement process with participants and staff.
• Create welcoming environments where participants feel valued, supported, and engaged.
• Stay informed about Blueprints and community resources to support goal attainment.
• Develop relationships with participants through frequent contact and engagement.
• Foster Parent & Family engagement and engage fathers and male caregivers.
• Maintain accurate participant records meeting documentation requirements.

Skills, Abilities and Experience

• Minimum (2) years of professional experience working with participants facing socioeconomic issues in a professional capacity.
• Minimum (1) year of case management experience.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor or Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or related field.
• Certification in family services, social work, human services, or a related field with a minimum of two years of previous supervised work experience with young children and/or parents.

Essential Functions

• Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
• Recruit and enroll eligible children and families for the Early Learning programs to meet and maintain full enrollment to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Works in collaboration with the ERSEA and Home Base team (Specialists, Service Navigators, and Home Base Educators) to ensure all family services processes align.
• Effectively implement the Whole Family Approach and Coaching throughout agency programs to achieve expected outcomes for participants, including family, participant, and community engagement.
• Establish and implement a family partnership agreement process that is jointly developed and shared with participants in which staff and participants review immediate needs, individual progress, revise goals, evaluate and track whether identified needs and goals are met, and adjust strategies on an ongoing basis.
• Create welcoming environments where participants feel valued, supported, and ready to contribute.
• Stay up-to-date and well-informed about Blueprints, other community programs and resources to enhance and support goal attainment for participants.
• Collaborate with program staff to ensure a cohesive, comprehensive services approach resulting in positive experiences and outcomes for participants.
• Develop and sustain relationships with participants by maintaining frequent, quality contact (phone calls, informal contacts, meetings).
• Foster Parent & Family engagement in programs.
• Develop and implement targeted strategies to actively engage fathers and male caregivers in the Head Start program and their child’s development.
• Meet federal, state and program documentation requirements by maintaining accurate, objective, complete, timely and well-organized participant recordkeeping including utilizing agency and funder databases.
• Meet program requirements and other applicable regulations, e.g., Head Start Performance Standards.
• Participate in required meetings and training opportunities which may involve out-of-town travel.
• Responsible for obtaining and forwarding documentation for Non-Federal Share/In-Kind to Blueprints Early Learning.
