Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning in the United States seeks a Family Success Manager to implement family engagement policies, oversee enrollment activities, and partner with community organizations to support children and families.

You will lead a team of Family Success Advocates, coordinate with the CHS Central Office, and ensure education, health, and safety questions for families are answered while upholding high standards and compliance with OCDEL/NAEYC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, family studies, human development or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 5 years in family/community engagement preferred
  • Experience with low-income families

  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CHS Central Office enrollment and family success teams to implement policies and strategies
  • Create and track family success objectives and milestones
  • Communicate with parents and lead meetings on difficult issues
  • Lead and coach a team of Family Success Advocates

  • Develop feedback loops and address gaps in family and community engagement
  • Engage community partners and align specialists
  • Stay updated on family studies and child development

Job description

The Family Success Manager is responsible for implementing family success policies, procedures, and strategies. The individual is also responsible for engaging children's' families and overseeing day to day enrollment activities. The Family Success Manager will identify program gaps and assist in identifying community partners. They will have strong skills in planning and organization, effective verbal and written communication, conflict management, and experience ensuring operational facility compliance with OCDEL, NAEYC, and other high-quality standards. The Family Success Manager will report to the Center Director and work closely with families to ensure that questions about the education, health, and safety of their children are answered. The salary range for this position is $70,380 to $92,000 annual, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CHS Central Office enrollment and family success team and implementing CHS family success policies, procedures, and strategies
  • Create and track family success objectives and milestones
  • Communicate with parents and lead meetings where difficult issues arise
  • Lead, guide, and coach a team of Family Success Advocates
  • Oversee the Enrollment Coordinator and all enrollment activities
  • Developing, design, and support the implementation of family engagement events and activities such as volunteer opportunities, workshops, and family-oriented initiatives
  • Create a system of feedback loops and gap resolution around family and community engagement
  • Create a Community Partner Engagement model to which specialists can align
  • Stay updated on developments in the fields of family studies and child development
  • Reinforce best practices in building strong relationships with families, children, and community partners
  • Implement on-going training with employees related to family engagementProvide input for new policies and procedures
  • Support and facilitate Professional Development content during PD year
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Human Development or a related field required. Master's Degree is a plus
  • 5 years of previous experience in family and/or community engagement preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to effectively work with low-income families
  • Responsible, enthusiastic, and cares about working in a mission-focused organization
  • Willingness to be held accountable and receive feedback
  • Comfortability with technology including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and/or willingness to learn
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to influence, lead, and educate teams
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, as well as guide and coach them in their responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and implement solutions
  • Commitment to the mission and values of CHS and MHS and demonstrated high degree of integrity as all MHS and CHS staff are considered to be role models for children
  • U.S. work authorization and successful completion of pre-employment background checks and clearances
