STATUS: Part Time - 25 Hours Per Week

General Statement

Position Summary

The Family Services Warehouse Worker will support all daily functions of the Warehouse and surrounding property. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Essential Functions

1. Assist with the daily pick-up of donations from local retailers.
2. Assist with the receiving and processing of food as directed by the Director of Social Services.
3. Work cooperatively with warehouse staff to maintain adequate stores of perishable and non-perishable food and supplies, providing reports and inventories as needed.
4. Assist with food box preparation, rotation, and distribution.
5. Provide accurate documentation and timely reporting of all Gift-In-Kind Donations.
6. Assist with coordinating and receiving deliveries, ensuring safety precautions are followed.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Warehouse and exterior property.
8. Maintain cleanliness of reception and common areas as needed.
9. Ensure refrigerator/freezer units are clean and operational; report malfunctions.
10. Ensure equipment like hand trucks and forklifts are in proper working order; report damages.
11. Assist with vehicle maintenance and mileage logs, ensuring DOT compliance.
12. Train and supervise volunteers and community service workers.
13. Support community outreach events and distributions.
14. Assist with report and statistic preparation.
15. Follow Protecting the Mission compliance standards.
16. Attend staff meetings and trainings.
17. Assist with seasonal efforts such as holiday food and toy distributions.
18. Adhere to dress code policies.
19. Operate equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, and large trucks.
20. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Background check clearance.
• Completion of Protecting the Mission child safety training.
• ServSafe Food Safety Certification.
• Forklift operation certification or ability to obtain it.
• Valid Montana Driver’s License and minimum 21 years old.
• Salvation Army Driver’s Safety Course and MVR check clearance.
