Job summary

Family Support Services Nassau in Yulee, FL is seeking a qualified Family Services Counselor Supervisor to oversee a direct services team and supervise caseloads, staff development, and required staffing. The role emphasizes guidance on workload, processes, and professional growth.

The position requires a 4-year degree in social work or related field, with preference for a Master's degree and at least three years of experience with at-risk children and families, plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related area required. Masters preferred.
• At least three years of experience with at risk children and families or child welfare programs.
• At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret legal and medical documents, contracts, manuals and reports.
• Strong communication and report writing skills, ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of Foster Care, In Home and Adoption Services with Family Service Counselors.
• Monitor caseloads, attend staffings, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Direct staff workload, development, and perfomance management.
• Facilitate meetings, coordinate with local agencies, and promote program branding within the community.
• Respond to emergencies after hours and perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in social work or related area of study
