Job summary

Family Support Services Nassau in Yulee, FL is seeking a Family Services Counselor Supervisor to lead a direct services team and oversee caseloads, staffings, and related duties.

The supervisor provides guidance on workload, processes and professional development, and collaborates with partners to ensure safety, stability and quality of life for children.

Education required: Bachelor's in social work or related field; a Master's degree and supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field is required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least three years of experience with at-risk children or child welfare programs.
• At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of Foster Care, In Home and Adoption Services through regular communication with Family Service Counselors.
• Oversight of staff workload and workflow, staff development, recognition, performance management, policy interpretation and enforcement.
• Facilitate mediation staffing for reunification, termination of parental rights and detainment.
• Attend and participate in various meetings and task force groups, communicate issues, resolve problems and maintain knowledge of new developments.
• Identify and develop opportunities to meet with local agencies and providers to strengthen the network of services and resources.
• Respond to emergencies after hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
