Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers seeks a Family Services Specialist II to develop and implement individualized service plans using casework methods. You will engage families, assess needs, coordinate services with agencies, and document activities in state systems.

This full-time position may require after-hours on-call coverage and disaster shelter duty. A Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field is preferred; experience in social work and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or 2 years in related Human Services field with relevant experience.
• Possession of a BSW or MSW and Virginia Social Worker license desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized service plans using casework methods.
• Engage families to preserve permanency and promote self-sufficiency.
• Coordinate services with other agencies and document in state systems.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage and shelter duty during disasters.
