Job summary

Housing Authority of Savannah is seeking a full-time professional to manage the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program communications and outreach. You will plan and implement outreach strategies, coordinate messaging, and engage residents across HAS communities.

The role emphasizes partner collaboration, event organization, and tracking program outcomes to promote enrollment, participation, and long-term success within FSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Sociology, Psychology or a related field is required.
• Three years of experience in public housing, HCV, FSS or related management roles.
• FSS Coordinator certification within first year of employment.
• Knowledge of HUD regulations and HAS policies and procedures.
• Experience with social work and community resources beneficial.
• Ability to present information clearly to the public.
• Ability to build relationships with residents and agencies.
• Knowledge of general office practices, business English and basic math.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and partners.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and handle complex tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develops outreach and communication strategies to promote FSS initiatives.
• Coordinates internal and external communications for the FSS program.
• Creates newsletters, promotional materials, and program updates.
• Manages HAS social media and engages residents online.
• Organizes community events and outreach activities to raise awareness.
• Collaborates with the FSS team to identify program improvements and partnerships.
• Tracks program outcomes and maintains participant files.
