Job summary

Housing Authority of Savannah is seeking a capable FSS Outreach Coordinator to lead outreach, communications, and program development for the Family Self-Sufficiency program across HAS communities. You will organize events, create newsletters, manage social media, coordinate partnerships, screen applicants, and track outcomes, reporting to the Director of Resident Services.

A Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years in public housing or related fields required; FSS coordinator certification within first

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Sociology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years in public housing, HCV, or related program management.
• FSS coordinator certification within first year of employment.
• Strong knowledge of HUD regulations related to FSS and HAS policies.
• Strong communication, planning, and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements outreach and communication strategies for FSS.
• Coordinates internal/external communications for the FSS program.
• Creates newsletters, promotional materials, and program updates.
• Manages social media accounts and community engagement.
• Organizes events/workshops to raise awareness of FSS.
• Screens applicants, determines eligibility, and maintains files.
