Job summary

Children’s Network of Hillsborough is seeking an in-office Case Manager to support Child Protective Investigators. The role involves reviewing referrals, coordinating staffings with DCF and CMOs, and ensuring timely authorizations for services to prevent removal of children from families.

You will assess family needs, reference resources (childcare, Medicaid, mental health, housing), and maintain accurate documentation using FSFN/CCWIS. Training and travel within Hillsborough may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, human services, psychology, or related field; 2 years of child welfare experience preferred.
• Child Welfare Professional Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review referrals for family preservation services and staff cases to providers.
• Assess families and identify needs; refer to resources (childcare, Medicaid, mental health, shelter, transportation).
• Track referrals and confirm family engagement in services.
• Complete Parent Needs Assistance (PNA) referrals as needed.
• Coordinate staffings between DCF Investigations and CMOs for case transfers.
• Prepare initial service authorizations for funded services within 3 working days of transfer staffing.
