Role and Facility Information

Come work as a Family Practice Maternity Provider with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

We are recruiting 1-2 more family physicians to provide low-risk obstetrical care. Opportunities include half-day prenatal clinics and/or 12-24 hour call shifts for labour and delivery.

We work in collaboration with a collegial hospital team including obstetricians, pediatricians, midwives, and nursing colleagues. Richmond is a regular training site for third-year medical students, and we often have residents on rotation.

Richmond is the busiest non-tertiary hospital for maternity in BC. Last year, there were 1463 total births at the Richmond Hospital Birth Centre.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License – Full
• Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Mandatory
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
• Obstetric Experience - Desired

As per Ministry of Health policy, all healthcare workers in publicly-funded facilities must report their vaccination history and past infections. This information is required during onboarding.
