Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center - Inpatient Psychiatrist

Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team in Houston, TX. The Inpatient Psychiatrist will provide recovery-oriented care to Veterans admitted acutely to the 73-bed mental health inpatient program for stabilization of psychiatric symptoms. This staff psychiatrist will work on an interdisciplinary academic mental health team treating Veterans with a full range of diagnoses including mood disorders, PTSD, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and neurocognitive disorders. Our affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine offers opportunities to serve as a rotation supervisor for trainees and participate in didactic courses.

We offer:

• Salary range: $240,000 - $290,000
